about

I grew up in the imaginary world’s of children’s books, comics and animation, which sparked a lifelong love of drawing. The term "cute things" was what I called a cartoon character, stuffed animal or even a cereal box mascot that appealed to me as a child. Now it's what I call my art. My drawing style is heavily influenced by anime and I consider Jim Henson to be my greatest creative inspiration. Through my high school and art school years I worked in the children’s department of the Watertown (MA) Public Library Children's Department and fell deeper in love with picture books.

The realization of a lifelong dream occurred in 2013, with the publishing of The Boy with the Big Blue Hair, my first picture book. I followed up on that with Tin Can in 2015. My art has been part of exhibits at the Wedeman Gallery in Newton MA.
